Johannes Studinger is heading the Media, Entertainment and Arts Sector of UNI Global Union, representing 140 unions and guilds in over 80 countries. Based at the regional office of UNI Global Union in Brussels, Johannes also holds the position of UNI Europa Senior Executive and is part of the organisation’s Management Team. Prior to his present positions, Johannes held the positions of Deputy Director of UNI MEI Global Union (2000-2009) and Deputy Secretary General of MEI, Media and Entertainment International (1999). Before joining the international labour movement, he worked with the Secretariat General of the European Commission (1998-1999) and Graham Watson, Member of European Parliament (1998) as well as the Brussels’ office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (1996-1998). Johannes is of German nationality and holds a master’s degree in politics and international relations.
