Pirkko Valge has been managing Heateo SA for the last eight years. He was one of the creators of NULA, Estonia's first incubator focused on solving social problems, and launched Estonia's first philanthropic fund contributing to impact - Heateo Mõjufond. A year later, together with Martin Villig and Taavet Hinrikus, the Heateo Haridusfond was launched. To date, private investors have contributed a total of 4 million euros to Heateo's funds, and the funds have supported the growth of dozens of initiatives.

Pirkko believes that by combining best practices from the private sector and bringing together the best people from the private sector, the third sector and the public sector, significant positive changes can be created together. Heateo SA contributes to initiatives that are passionate about improving society and measure their impact.

Pirkko's previous career was in the private sector - he has worked as a strategy advisor at the consulting company KPMG, led the field of leadership development and change management at the pan-Baltic unit of Hansapank, and was a communications manager at theater NO99. Pirkko has been consulting NGOs for the past 18 years - first as a professional volunteer alongside his career in the private sector, later at the Heateo SA.
