Rene is a member of the Estonian Business Angel Network EstBAN. He has been working in the area of innovation management and technology development for the last 20 years and has been the co-founder and/or a member of the executive boards of several companies and organisations such as Baltic Innovation Agency, Smart City Lab, Tartu Science Park, Tartu Biotechnology Park, Institute of Baltic Studies, Innovestor, Innopolis and Connect Estonia. He has been involved in with the management of more than 50 national and international innovation and business development projects. Rene Tõnnisson holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Policy from the University of Tartu, Estonia and Certificat d’Etudes Politiques from Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Strasbourg (Sciences Po) at Université de Robert Schuman. He has also been studying at the University of Cambridge and European University Institute.
