Mart works at the consulting company Baltic Innovation Agency. Mart has been involved in several national and EU research projects concerning entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem, sustainability and smart cities, integration, education, regional cooperation and program impact evaluation. Among other things, he has coordinated the social entrepreneurship project SoFiMa (2020-2022), the main goal of which was to achieve broad-based cooperation between various sectors and parties to develop the current situation of social entrepreneurship in Estonia and to do preliminary work for the creation of a new social financial instrument that meets the needs of the Estonian market. As a thematic expert of the Interreg Europe Policy Learning Platform, he is familiar with sectoral developments elsewhere in Europe, having organized relevant events and written sectoral reports. He has obtained a master's degree from the University of Tartu in international relations. Mart hopes that a strong ecosystem of social enterprises and impact investors will develop in Estonia in the coming years.
